नागपूर, ९ जून: उच्च न्यायालयातील  ज्येष्ठ वकील, कायदेविषयक पुस्तकांचे ख्यातकीर्त लेखक आणि समाजमनात आदराचे स्थान असलेले ॲड. प्रभाकरराव मारपकवार यांचे आज, मंगळवार रोजी सकाळी हृदयविकाराच्या तीव्र झटक्याने दुःखद निधन झाले. ते ७९ वर्षांचे होते. त्यांच्या अकस्मात जाण्याने विधी, साहित्य आणि सामाजिक क्षेत्रात कधीही भरून न निघणारी पोकळी निर्माण झाली आहे.

मिळालेल्या माहितीनुसार, ॲड. मारपकवार यांची प्रकृती आज सकाळपर्यंत अत्यंत उत्तम होती. त्यांनी नेहमीप्रमाणे आपल्या दिवसाची सुरुवातही केली होती. मात्र, अचानक त्यांना हृदयविकाराचा तीव्र झटका आला आणि त्यांची प्राणज्योत मालवली. त्यांच्या या आकस्मिक निधनाने मारपकवार परिवारासह विधी क्षेत्र आणि त्यांच्या मित्रपरिवारावर मोठा शोककळा पसरली आहे.

स्वातंत्र्यदिनाचा दुर्मिळ योग

ॲड. प्रभाकरराव मारपकवार यांचे एक अतिशय दुर्मिळ आणि ऐतिहासिक वैशिष्ट्य म्हणजे त्यांचा जन्म भारताच्या स्वातंत्र्यदिनी, म्हणजेच १५ ऑगस्ट १९४७ रोजी झाला होता. स्वातंत्र्यकाळातील विचारांचा आणि मूल्यांचा वारसा त्यांच्या व्यक्तिमत्त्वात अखंड जपला गेला होता.

विधी आणि साहित्य क्षेत्रात मोलाचे योगदान

उच्च न्यायालयात प्रदीर्घ काळ वकील म्हणून सेवा देताना त्यांनी अनेक क्लिष्ट खटल्यांमध्ये आपल्या अभ्यासू आणि धारदार युक्तिवादाने एक वेगळाच दबदबा निर्माण केला होता. केवळ वकिली व्यवसायापुरते मर्यादित न राहता, त्यांनी भारतीय कायद्याशी संबंधित अनेक महत्त्वपूर्ण आणि मार्गदर्शक पुस्तकांचे लेखन केले. नवोदित वकिलांसाठी ही पुस्तके आजही मार्गदर्शक ठरत आहेत. विधी आणि साहित्य क्षेत्रातील त्यांच्या या अथांग योगदानाबद्दल त्यांना अनेक प्रतिष्ठेच्या पुरस्कारांनी सन्मानित करण्यात आले होते.

वज्र आवाजाचा संवेदनशील माणूस

प्रभाकरराव हे केवळ कायद्याचे पंडित नव्हते, तर ते अत्यंत विनोदी, सुसंस्कृत आणि संवेदनशील स्वभावाचे होते. त्यांचा आवाज अत्यंत मोठा, करारी आणि वज्रगंभीर होता, तर त्यांच्या दिवंगत पत्नी जयश्री वहिनींचा आवाज नाजूक आणि मंजूळ होता. त्यांच्या या स्वभावामुळे ते मित्रपरिवारात नेहमीच आकर्षणाचे केंद्रबिंदू राहिले. केवळ एका फोनवर अनेकांचे अकारण होणारे कायदेशीर वाद आणि मनस्ताप मिटवण्याचे चातुर्य त्यांच्याकडे होते. आपल्या माणसांसाठी नेहमी खंबीरपणे पाठीशी उभे राहणारा एक आधारस्तंभ म्हणून त्यांच्याकडे पाहिले जात होते.

त्यांच्या निधनाचे वृत्त समजताच विधी, राजकीय आणि सामाजिक क्षेत्रातील अनेक मान्यवरांनी मारपकवार यांच्या निवासस्थानी जाऊन त्यांचे अंतिम दर्शन घेतले आणि मारपकवार परिवाराप्रती संवेदना व्यक्त केल्या.

He possessed the knack for resolving—often with just a single phone call—unnecessary legal disputes and alleviating the mental anguish of others. He was regarded as a pillar of strength who always stood firmly by his loved ones. Upon learning of his passing, numerous dignitaries from the legal, political, and social spheres visited the Marpakwar residence to pay their final respects and offer condolences to the family.
